Climate change severely affect hundreds of millions of women, men and children who are already living in extreme poverty, and it threatens to force hundreds of millions more people into distress.
Globally, CARE is supporting millions of poor people who are vulnerable to the consequences of climate changes. Through focused programmes, CARE is working to reduce the vulnerability of poor and marginalized people in developing countries to the negative impacts of climate change.
Besides the country specific programmes, CARE Danmark is actively involved in global efforts relating to climate changes and sustainable natural resource management as lead organization behind the CARE international Poverty, Environment and Climate Change Network – (PECCN).
