CARE cannot prevent droughts, floods and cyclones from occurring, but we can help the world’s poorest people survive these disasters by giving them preemptive support with long-term benefits.
This is why CARE Danmark has decided to operate in nine core countries in Asia and Africa, as well as three regional projects in Africa, to optimise the use of resources and maximize the impact. Furthermore, CARE Danmark has initiated a global initiative on poverty and climate change.
At a international level, CARE works in 86 of the world’s poorest countries and reached more than 93 million people in 2013.
